Aerial Base Station Assisted Cellular Communication: Performance and Trade-Off

چکیده
The use of Aerial Base Stations (ABSs) has received a great deal attention in academia and industry as means to support the cellular communication traffic growth. In this article, we focus on obtaining optimal altitude an ABS using two criteria - maximum cell coverage area minimum Symbol Error Rate (SER). Our study is done by probabilistic air-to-ground channel model, developed for low aerial platforms via simulations commercial ray tracing software, different scenarios like Urban High Rise, Urban, Suburban. probability distributions power ground users delay profile at are provided function size area. For SER analysis, present system model based Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM), time-frequency grid that compatible with Long Term Evolution, implementing parameters latency physical layer. impact “Better than Nyquist” pulses GFDM evaluated terms performance. From presented results, significant improvement demonstrated compared traditional Nyquist pulses.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Assisted Cellular Communication
In this paper, we consider unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted cellular communication systems where UAVs are used as amplify-and-forward relays. The effective channel with UAV-assisted communication is modeled as a Rayleigh product channel, for which we derive a tight lower-bound of the ergodic capacity in closed-form. With the obtained lower-bound, tradeoffs between the transmit power and t...
متن کاملRouting with Improved Communication-Space Trade-Off
Given a weighted undirected network with arbitrary node names, we present a family of routing schemes characterized by an integral parameter κ ≥ 1. The scheme uses Õ(n logD) space routing table at each node, and routes along paths of linear stretch O(κ), where D is the normalized diameter of the network. When D is polynomial in n, the scheme has asymptotically optimal stretch factor. With the s...
متن کاملQuantum trade-off coding for bosonic communication
The trade-off capacity region of a quantum channel characterizes the optimal net rates at which a sender can communicate classical, quantum, and entangled bits to a receiver by exploiting many independent uses of the channel, along with the help of the same resources. Similarly, one can consider a trade-off capacity region when the noiseless resources are public, private, and secret key bits. I...
متن کاملSecurity and Performance Trade-off in PerfCloud
Both cloud and GRID are computing paradigms that manage large distributed resources, and currently there is a lot of interest in their integration. An integrated architecture cloud-GRID requires fine-grained access control and identity federation among untrusted distributed domains in the cloud. This paper deals with the trade-off between security and performance in such architectures, comparin...
متن کاملMaintaining Communication Between an Explorer and a Base Station
Consider a (robotic) explorer starting an exploration of an unknown terrain from its base station. As the explorer has only limited communication radius, it is necessary to maintain a line of robotic relay stations following the explorer, so that consecutive stations are within the communication radius of each other. This line has to start in the base station and to end at the explorer. In the ...
